THE JOURNEY
Indian deep tech entrepreneur
Samarth Rathi started young and started serious. As a teenager he completed an MBA, built eight startups, and served as CTO across six companies — learning coding, sales, and strategy entirely by doing. He built women's safety software because technology, he believed, should protect people first.
One question kept returning: why does India import its future? That question became OBOTER Technologies, founded in Delhi NCR in 2021 — not for profit as a first motive, but for proof. Proof that India can build world-class deep technology from scratch.
Today OBOTER focuses on electro-optics — the science of light, sensing, and precision measurement — developing systems that see and detect what conventional technology cannot. From FTIR spectroscopy to medical imaging and aerospace sensing, every division traces back to one foundation: light. Samarth also studies law at Jindal Global University, running engineering and policy thinking in parallel. One goal. Build technology that makes life genuinely exciting.
